Missouri Introduces Constitutional Money Act
Missouri is taking a step towards reintroducing gold and silver as legal tender with the introduction of the "Constitutional Money Act" (SB25 and SB194). These bills aim to remove capital gains taxes on precious metals and allow gold and silver to be used for both public and private transactions, including employee wages. They also seek to block the adoption of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and require the state to hold a portion of its funds in gold and silver. This initiative reflects a growing trend in several states to challenge the fiat currency system and promote a gold-backed economy.
