Wyoming Explores Accepting Gold & Silver as Payment for State Services

Wyoming is moving toward a groundbreaking policy innovation: a legislative mandate instructs the State Treasurer to conduct an in-depth study on how the state might accept gold and silver as a payment medium—including for taxes, fees, and other government obligations. The findings and legislative recommendations are due to be submitted to legislative revenue and investment committees by October 1, 2025
